August 2023: "Feeling Speechy" Emotions Theme

SLP Seller of the Month

Our "Feeling Speechy" Emotions Theme SLP Seller of the Month is Jen @speechuniverse.
Jen created a Feelings-Themed resource for our subscribers! She loves working with preschoolers, and using visual supports, toys, games, and making therapy fun for kids!

Emotiblocks from Miniland

This is such a versatile resource and is great for mixed groups! Use these people-building blocks to work on describing, or matching with the provided cards. Check out the "ideas for use" inside this months Speech Cube for more ideas!

Emotions Roller

These are such a fun addition to your playdoh stash! Use them to roll out playdough to reveal a person, then give it a face! I especially love the idea of adding sensory play into lessons about emotions. Let us know how you're using these!

How Do I Feel? Book from Bendon

I love an interactive book for my younger students! This book shows kid-friendly animals and describes their feelings. Match the feeling by color, by spinning the wheel.

Feelings Background + Bilingual (English/Spanish) Themed Communication Board

An Emotions-themed picture board and communication board, both in English and Spanish, is included in this month's Speech Cube. Pair this with the Emotiblocks or the How Do I Feel? Book to add visuals to your activity! Check out the "Articulation Targets" in the insert in your Speech Cube to use this resource with your students working on various speech sounds.

Need a Break Visual Support

So many of our early language learners have a hard time expressing their need for a break, and what specifically they need during a break. This is a great one to share with your classroom teacher colleagues to build into our students' daily communication skills!
